I needed help in searching Raymond Weil watch

It looks like from googling many sights that they run between $1, 300 - $1,500 ...................I would go to a reliable jeweler or go right to the Raymond Weil web sight. To buy it used from ebay is a possibility but be sure that all the papers are with it. You are right there are many copies out there so that is why going to a reliable jeweler that can also service it for her would be optimal. Remember if you save a couple of hundred dollars but end up spending that in upkeep maybe penny wise and pound foolish.

I have an ebel and am so glad that I bought it at a reliable certified ebel dealer so when it need service they send it to ebel and the water seal is not broken and i've enjoyed the watch for over ten years
 
It looks like Overstock may have it for 1100. I've seen this one for sale on the deal a day sites every now and then and almost bought one myself (I'm a RW lover and have the Don Giovanni).
 
Did you look on Amazon? Under $1000.
 
I don't know if this is still the case, but Ben Bridge used to cover the cost of annual battery replacements when you purchase a RW watch from them. They won't touch the watches themselves, but send them to RW for the replacement battery and a check-up.

I bought my RW about 20 years ago ( :shock: ) RW from a jeweler who was no longer an authorized distributor. The battery died shortly after I bought it - the jeweler replaced it himself and apparently screwed up the water-tight seal, which I later got to replace at my cost. I got the watch at a nice discount because the jeweler was phasing his RW watches, but if I had bought the watch from BB or another authorized dealer in the first place I would have saved myself a lot of money and hassle in the long run.

Your friend may want to check (or recheck) local jewelery stores. Often jewelers have room in their prices to offer discounts on watches. They might not offer it upfront, but you certainly can ask if they can offer better pricing. If they carry Raymond Weil, they most likely can get any model. When my husband and I both bought TAG watches, our local jeweler offered a 20% discount.

Before my TAG, I purchased my Raymond Weil at my local Macy’s…of all places!! This was a while ago, but they offer a discount off of the retail price, plus they used to take Macy’s coupons on watches (only certain coupons) on top of the discounted price. Your friend could check with them, they will tell you which coupons might work and what they can discount it. They have their friend’s and family in Nov/Dec and they also have a number of charity discounts throughout the year (donate $10, get 25% off for the day) and a ton other coupons. For a great discount, open a credit card and get another 10-20% off (can’t remember how much). I don’t see that style on their website, but they may carry it in store. For servicing (battery), they will send it to Raymond Weil for servicing, which takes a few weeks.

Either way, locally you definitely can negotiate (or at least try)! Good luck!
 
Oh sorry, sorry, sorry; I didn't notice mention we live in Finland. There is Raymond Weil watches available but prices are about 4 x to USA
Do you know any exact and reputable seller who offers great price and online shopping? I'm totally confused. If it was for me, I wasn't so nervous about purchasing. It would be my risk, but now when she ask help for me I wanted do everything correct (without any unpleasant suprises, you know?)
