Large pearls don't look formal when they are baroque. Baroque pearls cost less, too.
Even better if they are graduated-- they cost less and weigh less.
These are my baroque SSP from Pure Pearls. 9.1mm - 13.7mm

Yes, I wear baroque for the same reason, at 55, I hope I'm not looking too frumpy or formal.

I Love love the first one with the darkened chains - but worry they may damage the pearls.

It must have been someone else's pearls-- I've never been to the Ruckus!
But I'm glad you like the strand.
What you and I have in common is a certain strand of lavender/grayish Biwa pearls and a silver blister pearl pendant.

As the necklase was really long (it broke so i have to find the bag of bits) when i restring Ms $30 im thinking of canabilizing the braclete just having the pearls in the my just for fun dyed blue pearl necklase

I attache a bead bracelet to my pearl strands so that it is longer, and has a much less formal feel. Mainly because it looks like, well, a bracelet attached to a necklace .

I don't have many occasions to dress up nowadays, ever since I started working from home in September 2019.

I wear the smaller strands when I go on business trips, however that's about once ever 3 to 6 months before C19.

I think I had only worn the bigger strands in SSP and Tahitians, and the double metallic Freshadamas only once since I bought them.

Here's a pic of my two big strands I took yesterday, and seeing them made me happy!



The silver SSP was purchased in 2009 when I went back to HK for the first time after 22 years.

The Tahitians was before that around 2007/8 from PP when they had a massive Tahitian sale with many strands of baroques for grabs. They have not had another big sale in that magnitude ever since. Those were the days!
