Ugh. My puppy ripped the top layer of skin off his little paw pad and now he is limping around the house-- not to mention his allergies are so bad that he nibbles his legs and scratches his ears all day and night leaving him with bald patches :(

I would take him to the vet for the allergies if I were you. My cat does that occasionally and a steroid shot always helps immediately.

Make sure you talk to them about the possibility of sinus/respiratory infections as well as asthma. One of our cats has what we thought were just allergies (and had treated by one vet as just allergies) but it turned out to be asthma which caused her to be struggling with ongoing infections. We got this correct diagnosis after finding her barely breathing one night and taking her to the emergency vet. I can't remember the specifics, but there are certain steroids that can make this sort of thing a lot worse if it is more than just allergies.

Missy- I feel the same way about PS.

Like most people, I'm sure, I haven't been censored in any meaningful way since I was a child (and even then, I don't know). It's kind of a foreign concept, and it's pretty jarring when your thread or your post is deleted without warning. While I appreciate the fact that PS is more *civilized* than most forums (as a result, maybe? I'm not sure), I find this policy a little stifling.

The worst is when the inevitable "where did that one thread go" thread is deleted or locked as well. It just doesn't sit well with me.

I was actually surprised when your comment about censoring and disappearing threads wasn't deleted :)

They're already stocking the shelves with autumn/halloween decor and I had to literally pull myself away from buying up a bunch of fun new stuff for our house! My husband would probably have me banned from that store if I come home with one more pumpkin shaped candle! ;-)

My local supermarket has started stocking Christmas Advent calendars! Definately a step too far.

HI:

I wondered why my purse was "so" heavy.

Then I counted: 5 tubes of lipstick, 6 full sized lip glosses, 2 lip pots, one lip pencil, 6 perfumes samples and one tube of hand creme. Embarrassing really.

cheers--Sharon

We do, a ll the time! He just got another shot and meds but we are bringing him to a vet allergist/dermatologist. We don't wantbto keep putting him on steroids since it's not good Lindbergh so wevarecseeking other options.

I wonder if they're left over ones from last year they had in the stock room? lol

At least yours sounds feminine. I have three tubes of lip gloss, three pocket knives, a box cutter, a lighter.... :-o

Apparently having horses and doing a lot of outdoors work can make it seem like you're out to kill someone.

There's also a hairbrush.. :halo:

Nope, just a regular guest. I thought a nice cardigan would look better on me than DH's suit jacket!

If that's all you have in yours to make it heavy you better never have the misfortune of carrying mine around. It's huge to begin with, and not very light in the leather, and my wallet is equally huge, plus my phone, my pouch with my 30x and my ring boxes, and then the small convenience store/pharmacy...it's insane. And when Im flying, my charger, meds, makeup and some magazines.

That seems a little weird.

Other than that, how are you settling in? How's work going for you and your husband?
