hullo all! i started lurking and ogling over all your lovely rings (MINE! your rings are lovely) when my fiance and i started shopping for my own...

since i got it, i feel the need to stare at my hand and go ''yaaay!''

...hope it worked, and more coming soon!

any hints on what sort of wedding band we should look for? i am not really a diamond girl myself (although they are lovely on everyone, they''re just not me...)

you all have such lovely things on your fingers, any suggestions would be great.

thanks!

i promise i''ll stop after this one...

that''s all i can handle for now!

oh, and all the usual excuses apply for my pictures: sorry they suck, i swear it''s sparklier in real life etc., etc.

That is beautiful! I think if you were to get a band that had peridot stones and diamonds it would be really pretty. Or since you said you aren''t big on diamonds you could get white sapphires or another stone. But with all the detail a simple band with no stones may look just as good. I would go to different jewelry stores and just try different styles on to get a general idea of what looks best. Good Luck finding the perfect one! And CONGRATULATIONS!

and...if you insist i guess i must oblige! :-P

Truly unique and very pretty! Congratulations!

thanks for the excellent suggestions, mirre!

i was thinking about a channel set band with more peridot, but i thought it might be overwhelming... so much green!

it''s his birthstone, and i love that, but i hadn''t even considered white sapphires! that sounds lovely...

Very pretty...Peridot is my birthstone, and I just love it!

CONGRATULATIONS Lux!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is BEAUTIFUL! I absolutely love your ring, it is breathtaking. Wear it in good health!

I wish many, many happy years ahead for you two!

the peridot and antique setting!!! It''s gorgeous!!! Congrats!

I adore Peridot. Your ring is beautiful! Congratulations!

Really lovely!
It's what I imagine a Victorian lady would wear for her engagement.

what about a simple 2mm or less engraved gold band?

oooh it''s gorgeous. Do you have a photo of the side profile?

Aw, thank you all for such wonderful comments! it makes me smile, and you are all so sweet!

My camera isn''t so great at detail, but the filigree work beneath the prongs (on the front and back of the ring, respectively) is shaped into two kissing lovebirds- a cute little detail that no one else sees but i absolutely adore.

Any more suggestions are totally welcomed and encouraged as far as wb''s goes!
