If you want to know the quality of color, then get the full AGL prestige report.

If you don't care about that, and you just want to have proof it is of natural origin, then get the memo ($60 + S&H).

I really need tips on how to take good close-up photos. I just can't get it right with macro mode :errrr:

Oh, :lol:
Everything I do, I learned here on PS, I just searched for "camera"
and got a few good threads...
I have prob taken hundreds *(if not thousands) of pictures
and deleted most....
These stones are so gorgeous, and it is sooooo frustrating when you feel your
photos don't do them justice, I totally agree !!!!!

I actually think Mahenges are pretty easy to take photos of, especially in the sun where they fluor red or a more reddish color (at least mahenges with strong fluor should do this). I have the most problem with greens, as many people who take gemstone photos can attest too. That is because green is a combination of blue and yellow, and the camera sometimes gets the stone too yellow. That happens to me quite a bit.
