I don't understand the signature cut difference....help plea

So I bought my wife a blue Nile signature princess and I'm wanting to upgrade her. Blue Nile seems over priced now that I'm looking around. I found a super ideal on brilliance.com and I don't know what the difference would be between the two cut grades from the different dealers. Does anyone know? And how do these stack up to a LEO, hearts and arrow, solasfera, or any of the others with a special tag?

Diamond shopping is way too difficult!

If diamond shopping is easy, PS will not exist!

I suggest you take a look at the free diamond tutorials on Good Old Gold, as they are very informative, and I learnt a lot from them.

Whatever you do, please do not rush into your purchase, and take time to browse as many diamonds as you can before finalising your choice.

Good luck with the upgrade, and your wife is a lucky lady.

Can you post the one on Brilliance? Are there pics? Are you wanting to stay with a princess or branch out into another shape entirely?

Stick with AGS 0 for light performance.

A friend at the office bought his fiancée's ring from Brilliance.com. They were both very happy with it. He designed it himself and said the staff was very helpful. With regard to your question on the difference between cut grades, the grades are determined by the certifying body (GIA, EGL, AGS, etc), not the vendor. A diamond with an Ideal Cut grade from GIA, would have the same grade whether it's at Brilliance.com or elsewhere.

Quality-wise, I'd vouch for them.

"Signature Cut" is a marketing program.

They go through all the diamonds, pick out the best ones and label them "Signature" and charge you a lot more money.
