I am still trying to decide what I want for my asscher spinel to be set in. I am very indecisive. So I have narrowed it down to four settings, but I still can''t decide. My husband likes the first one. I kind of am leaning towards the second one. I really like the profile view of the first ring, but LOVE the top view of the second and third ring. The last one is just very unique and I think it would show off my asscher cut pretty well. Plus it would protect the sides the stone best.

Help me, ladies! I know you have good taste.
If you can find something else that is fairly inexpensive but would work, please let me know! I am ok with popping a stone out to replace with my asscher - the first setting, from Overstock, will be done like this. I don''t want to spend tons.

I like both the top and side views on the second one. The third one has a better side than top view IMO.

I like number 3 the best. I tend to go for that type of ring because I think it sets off the center stone.

My vote is for number 2. I love that one.

If you like a lot of pave, then #2. If your tastes run towards the simple side, then I like #1. #3 looks overdone and #4 has way too much metal.

I''ve got to go with number three, I love that the bling is on the side of where the stone will be set so that it allows your beautiful spinel masterpiece take center stage, yet still adds a bit of extra sparkle, but that spinel could make a plastic twist tie wraped around your finger look good so I think you will have a beautiful end product regardless of which setting you choose.

I have been back and forth between number 2 and number 3. This is a tough decision, comes down to what type of cut you prefer. I am leaning towards 3, since a round brillant has one of the best light returns for the cut. The asscher design is also a nice cut. I think I will have to say 3, but 2 is a tight second!

Maybe you should consider your lifestlye - if it''s more active then numbers 2 and 3 are probably not the best choices. And of all of them number 4 is the only one which would be good on slightly stronger, less delicate fingers, so if yours are like that... Hope this helps, even if it doesen''t come from a lady

I''m actually going to say number 1 - just the right amount of bling, and I would love to see the shank done in a satin/sandblasted finish - the different textures would look so classy with your spinel!

I like #2 the best, with #1 runner up. How much are you looking to spend? I''ll hunt for you.

I am not too fond of halos (not that they aren''t pretty, just overdone) so I would go with #4, even though I think it is rather heavy. If there was something along those lines but with a little less metal, I would say to go for it.

I am keeping myself under $500 right now. The less the better though, because then it means I can have that extra to maybe buy another stone

I think my selection is too widely varied - I love pave, but I am afraid of losing stones and having to be without my ring for awhile. This probably won''t be a ring I will wear every single day though like my e-ring, though. So it can really go both ways.

This one is from Adwar. The last time I checked into having WF make me a setting from Adwar, it was under $300, but I''m sure that depends on the setting!!!

I guess I have to vote #1 since I''m not a fan of tons of pavé - not that I don''t like it, I just have a less it more attitude when it comes to it. The only issue I have with #1 though is that the shape of the halo is more cushion-y and not asscher-y (rounded corners vs. cut corners), so I wonder how that would look IRL. My second favorite is #2, although I think it''s a bit too much pavé.

I looked on eBay to see what lord_of_gem_rings had (thanks Lauren the Partier - they have nice settings at really decent prices!) and found these which might work and are within your budget - the aren''t the right size for the stone, but they state that they can make any setting in any size for any dimension stone for $50 extra -

I actually thought about this, since my original choise was an LOGR ring. But my husband didn''t like it, and I think it''s because he can''t tell what it looks like without a center stone. So he always says it looks "weird." I may have to photoshop some of these so he can see them with my stone

I went ahead and emailed the seller to see if they can do it first - if they can I will just tell my husband I like it and that he has no opinion now. LOL. I really do want an LOGR setting!
