How to see diamond jewellery in store with plenty of lights?

how do you view diamond jewellery, specially studs in a jewellery store, where there are plenty of lights? anyway to see in natural light? or not in bright lights, any tricks ty

You can ask to see them outside but it is not likely they will be ok with it.
A white piece of paper makes a nice diffuser to block the lights as well as blocking them with your hand and body. If you with someone they can also block the light for you.
I like wearing a blue shirt and holding the diamond close and blocking all light except for from the shirt.
It helps if you have a comparison stone of known cut.

An IS or ASET scope can help. I prefer ASET for mounted diamonds because it is not as picky about back lighting as IS.
