2 weeks (or 10 workdays) is totally normal plus they still have floods in Thailand so a few more days of patience will be generous. I think also there was holiday in-between.

Ditto to this, and this is also why I send express, as I hate waiting on these long shipments to foreign countries.

TL, does shipping Express cost a whole lot more? I shipped back another stone shortly after that one and I did it Priority and insured it for the full value. It was so expensive but at least I won't be worrying about it.

It's around $30, but I think it's worth it, especially for an expensive gem.

I probably will consider buying stones from Tan again, but maybe just ones that aren't too pricey so I don't freak out while they are in transit

I don't do regular mail with Tan, I always pay extra from DHL with tracking. I don't care much for snail mail. Did you get te other sapphire from him that I mentioned, or was that someone else, I forget.

Ok, I'll definitely keep that in mind if I order from him again. And yes that other sapphire was me. I ended up not loving that one either, it was more of a light purpley-blue in real life. So I sent that one back Priority with insurance. I think what I am looking for is going to cost a lot more than I can afford right now so I'm just going to keep saving here and there since I'm not in any rush. But at least I've seen a few stones and have a better idea of exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks again TL!
