How long did you take to get your 5-stone or 3-stone rings?

I’m talking end to end process, from diamond search/purchase all the way to having the ring on your finger. And if it matters, am referring to a 3-/5-stone where the middle stone is a much larger stone than the other 2/4 stones for a tapered look (vs 3/5 nearly identically sized diamonds for example) - not sure if it’s easier or harder when the diamond sizes are the same.

Have a big birthday milestone coming up next year (or maybe a mid life crisis lol) and I think a sparkly wall of fire on my finger will help ease the pain a fair bit. Just wondering how soon I should start planning, or should I say making the purchase/contacting the vendors, etc. Am here doing some intensive reading so I guess have already started...

While I’m at it, any good threads/suggestions for 5-stone settings with a either a very “clean” look (like minimalistic prongs, not even trellis or any decorative feature at the side) or with loads of side bling (like micro-pave) is most appreciated.

Ok, so I’ll throw in.
I’m in the process of creating my own bespoke piece, using 7 Asscher Cut Diamonds.
I started my search around July/August, last year.
My preferences:
Asscher Cut Diamonds x 7
0.25ct (3.00-3.75mm sq), each
VS-VVS Clarity
F/G/H color

My band will be a 3/4 eternity Anniversary Band. All of my stones are the same size, so it was a little more complicated.

I actually have an appointment with my SA & Jeweler, tomorrow, to start the design process, and get my budget set. Once I have my budget, I can start saving my money to set this project into motion.
My situation is different because my phases are stretched out over time. I’m hoping to get this all started by next year.
