Great, thanks so much for taking the time to grab all of those links. I was thinking of going to a shop and just getting it all done in the one go, but after reading threads here it seems like getting the diamond online and then getting the ring made custom is the way to go.

I would say that sometimes it's easier to have everything done by the trusted online vendors. Sadly, many local shops just don't have the skills that we have come to expect (aftrv being on PS and seeing so many lovely rings). What setting style are you thinking about?
