Hello! For my 10 year wedding anniversary, my hubby and I want to redo my current engagement ring. I have a very pretty 1.18 carat, VS!, F colored, round, GIA certified stone. Currently its in a plain platinum cathedral setting that is about 4 mm wide. I want something much more delicate with u cut pave. I'd also like a halo around the keystone. I wear a size 5.5 ring. I'd like the shank of my new ring to be around 1.8-1.9 mm. I love the U cut pave the most as it shows the least amount of metal. To add some flair to the ring, I'd also like a cushion cut halo around my round diamond. What size pave diamonds should I go with for the shank and the halo? I don't want the center stone to be overpowered by the pave. Here is an example of the ring I adore:

If anyone can give me approximate sizes for the melee in the shank and in the halo I would greatly appreciate it! Again, I'd like it all to be U cut pave. :) thank you!

I believe you asked the same question in this thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/help-with-victor-canera-round-daimond-with-cushion-halo.193456//

What applies to Victor Canera, also applies to Leon Mege. Both are masters of proportion and you do not have to give them melee sizes etc.

Or will a different jeweler make this setting for you? I that case I would ensure that they made this design before. And just show them what your preferences are based on their portfolio.
