Hi Everyone,
I'm newly engaged and my fiance wants me to be super happy with my rings and has let me help in the process. He's purchased a BG signature H&A 1.17 round G and I'm very happy about the diamond. I had no idea the setting would be so challenging. I have been diagnosed by a local jeweler as a "super feeler" lol. I cannot tolerate any diamonds going down the sides where I feel them when I squeeze my fingers together. However, I don't want a solitare. This is my dream ring! We tried on many settings at local jewelers but I knew the quality would not be the same as my BG diamond! So we decided to order the settings from BG. It is just very nerveracking to order a ring online, with no turning back, because it's custom.
We've chosen the Dream Half Eternity with Truth Head and it has has 5 diamonds on each side of the band, we've modified it to have 3 diamonds on each side and hopefully the diamonds will cover my finger but I won't be able to feel them when I squeeze my fingers. The wedding band will have 7 diamonds instead of 11. The diamonds are 0.05.
Here is the original Dream Ring.

The bands are 2.4mm wide, I'm concerned it might feel too wide when I wear two. I am a size 7 finger. Does anyone has 4.8mm total width and how does it feel?
I think I love the CAD. Other considerations are, increasing the diamond size and having 2, .10 size diamonds on each side of main diamond if that doesn't mean widening the band.
Or, reduce width of band, perhaps to a 1.9-2.1 range and choose .03 stones and perhaps do 4-5 diamonds on each side of the main diamond.
So, what do yall think?
Stick with the CAD as it is? Do you like the bezel at the end or are there other options?
Go with bigger diamonds and reduce to 2 on each side of diamond?
Go with smaller diamonds to get a thinner band?
Thank you all sooo much! I just found this site and I can't believe it took this long to find this gem!
