Hi
Apologies for bumping this thread again, a stone I’m interested in is being held for me for 24 hours

GIA Report attached

https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=5201334422&s=1567532561426

And pics of the stone, hearts and arrows and ASET and Idealscope below.

The specs of the stone are within the safe range of ideal.

But your help on confirming the specs with visual checks would be appreciated.

It doesn’t need to be the perfect stone - I just want to make sure I’m a getting as good a stone as possible and that there are no major warning signs that you pick up.

Thanks

I’m not an expert, but the Ideal and ASET scope images appear to be digital and not true photographs. Not to say they’re not accurate, but not common since most that are posted are not computer generated. Still, as you mentioned the Diamond isn’t perfect, but offers above average potential. I’m interpreting the lighter areas under the table to be light leakage (neither great nor worst I’ve seen). Have you checked HCA score? If under 2, recommend seeing in person under different lighting. If >2, typically reject unless amazing price. Also, is D color for cultural reasons? And are you open to considering ideal stones from PS-recommended vendors (depending where you reside)?
