I am in the process of choosing a wedding a wedding band for my gorgeous E ring. I don't want a matching band because I find it a little boring, I like something different to add a little texture. At first I was leaning towards larger prong set bands but now amn wondering if I choose larger stones if it will actually make my center stone look smaller. But I also don't like really tiny wedding bands because I like the sparkle. Here are some bands I've looked at paired with my E ring.

In your experience, what style band will be most flattering and enhance my beautiful center stone?

A few things to note:
-my center stone is 0.90 carats and F color (fiance did well!)
-I have six graduated diamonds down the sides
-after the diamonds is a sapphire

Options I've found so far...

1: 2.4mm/ ~0.05 carat stones

2: 2.7mm/ ~0.08 carat stones

3: 2.2 mm/ ~.04 carat stones

4: Two rows of smaller diamonds

Of the pictures you posted, I like the last one...the pic of the two row wedding band. If they are single bands, it might look really pretty to wear one on top of your e-ring and one below it.

I'm not loving any of them.

Have you looked at a Michael B Lace type (inspired by, not the original they cost the earth)? I think that would be nice.

How about a sapphire and diamond eternity band to pick up the accents on your engagement ring?

About to read all of your responses, thank you!! Y'all are the best!!! Keep em coming :)

Here are some additional angles:

Another angle of 1: 1: 2.4mm/ ~0.05 carat stones

Another angle of 2: 2: 2.7mm/ ~0.08 carat stones

Another angle of 4: 4: Two rows of smaller diamonds

And here the bottom one is a band that matches my E ring band just to see:

I actually tried on a bezel! Here are some pics. Thoughts?

Again, can't thank you all enough!

I think I'd like the bezel better if there were sapphires and diamonds. Maybe even different cuts too. How do you feel about a sapphire and diamond band rather than all diamonds?

Re: Help! Wedding band that flatters my E ring? (pics includ

I like all diamonds for a wedding band. And I think yours needs a milgrain edge no matter the design. So the matching band or the milgrain bezel band would be my choice. I don't think the shared prong bands go well at all.

Re: Help! Wedding band that flatters my E ring? (pics includ

I agree that your ring calls for a band with milgrain, and I really like the last one, with the bezels. I think the same band with sapphires and diamonds alternating would be beautiful, too.

I like the bezel band best.

Hi,
If you're not into matchy styles, then I like the combos where the wedding band diamonds are the same size or smaller than the ones in your eng ring. It creates more balance by the eng diamonds being at least the same size as the wedding band stones. Out of the first set of photos, the last with the two bands looks the best, but I'd keep looking...

Yes, I too think that having sapphires incorporated into the wedding band would look good. It wouldn't be matchy-like, but would coordinate with your wedding ring.

I prefer all diamonds for a wedding band as well - I think the bezel ring looks really nice! different enough to create a little visual interest, but still complements your ering (which is very pretty btw)

Re: Help! Wedding band that flatters my E ring? (pics includ

I like the last bezel eternity with the migrain the best. It looks very pretty and not matchy matchy. And it doesn't upstage your ering.

Re: Help! Wedding band that flatters my E ring? (pics includ

I like the bezel band the best. The first 2 you posted look like you are trying to match but are missing the mark. You
need to pick something more different like the bezel band (which looks lovely).

+1 for the bezel band. Gorgeous!

Re: Help! Wedding band that flatters my E ring? (pics includ

Your e-ring is beautiful!

I like all the bands, but I think the bezel band is especially nice, and unique.

And my fiance has chosen his wedding band. He made a wonderfully unique choice!

A 14k white gold dome band with a "twist" :)

hollyk0428 ,
I will say I thought the two rows of smaller diamonds made my center stone look amazing! I really liked it for that reason :)

I have decided to add sapphires to the end of the band no matter what I choose. Both places I've been looking said they can model a custom piece off what I chose and have the diamonds match where mine end and then end it with sapphires to match. So I think incorporating those sapphires will be huge in making the pieces go well with each other. Great input!!

I am going to relook at the bezel ring tonight. They also offer it with larger diamonds, but I am seeing now that too large of diamonds on the wedding band doesn't go as well. It need to find that balance :)

diamondseeker2006 ,
I'm starting to see that the shared prong doesn't go as well as I thought it did. I want it to not match exactly, but to still go well. I think incorporating milgrain would get me that "still going well" look.

I am going to go back this evening to try on more and take some of these new thoughts as I relook. I really can't say thank you enough. You are all so generous with your time to comment on a post like this and it really does make me happier and more excited to get this band chosen!

Have you tried a tiny little spacer band between your e-ring and any of the wedding bands? I think sometimes a spacer adds just enough distance, and separation (and protection) for bands that might not otherwise work together. I have an eternity band very similar to your first picture and like you wanted something not matchy matchy so I pair it will my e-ring with .02 stones. When I wear the two rings side by side the way you are wearing it in the photo, it looks awful, but when I wear a smaller, or even a bit larger plain spacer band between the two....it somehow all works. Just a thought. :))

Do you have any pictures of a spacer? I would love to see what that looks like.

I have found perfection!!!

I went back to the jeweler with a new mindset. Stop thinking about how big of diamonds I think I want. Stop thinking about the wedding band itself and look at what is important to me... how well it balances and enhances my engagement ring. I will have them soldered together and they will forever be together so finding something that is pleasing to my eye to look at every day is the most important. And that made this last trip so successful! You all helped so much with that, thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

I found a round french set band that just spoke to me. It comes in a 1/2 carat TW (diamonds are 0.2 carats each, $1750) and a 1/4 TW (diamonds are 0.4 carats each, $1210). Here are the pics!!

Here is the 1/4 TW (diamonds are 0.2 carats each)

Here is the 1/2 TW (diamonds are 0.4 carats each)

Here is the both, 1/2 TW on top, 1/4 TW on bottom

Again, here is the both, 1/2 TW on top, 1/4 TW on bottom, side view

I am really feeling that the 1/4 TW does the most for emphasizing my engagement ring. The diamonds on that one actually line up perfectly to end with my E ring diamonds and I will have sapphires set on each end to align. Are y'all proud of me??? :D .

If you love it then that's all that matters!

Re: Help! Wedding band that flatters my E ring? (pics includ

I agree with others that the bezel you posted looked best. <---- I have the same bezel with milgrain, so I'm a little biased! ;)) I would definitely try to get a band with milgrain.
