Hi,
Pretty much a newbie to diamonds so please excuse the newbie questions.
1. My budget is around $10-15k for the stone.. Need a engagement ring. Thinking around 1.5 carat should be good.
2. Live in Hong Kong.
3. Is this the right time to buy diamonds or are they overpriced due to xmas and valentines, if yes overpriced by how much and when is the best time to buy a diamond.
4. Looking for a Halo setting and have something very specific in mind that i would like to get custom made. Best place to get setting done considering location.
I would appreciate some input on the following stones I have looked at. Absolutely fine being told my choices are no good and not the best value for money and open to suggestions. Any other vendors who i should be looking at ??

My criteria would be a good cut and good looking with the naked eye. Is this value for money or should I be looking at different cut/color/clarity etc.
Regarding setting considered heard http://www.victorcanera.com/ they are good but not sure how the logistics work. Open to ideas and suggestions and maybe even setting it locally in HK. I would think that since getting a decent diamond the setting would play a huge role to the outlook of the ring wondering what is the best thing to do. Better to use white gold or platinum.
