Thank you to this wonderful Pricescope community, as you have all been instrumental in helping us along the path to creating a unique engagement ring, with somewhat of a romantic personal touch. We have ultimately decided on a setting I have affectionately dubbed "The BYOD HW Hybrid". The only problem is we now lack the BYOD (Bring your own diamond).
It's a hybrid in a sense that we are sticking with the HW inspired band and cushion halo shape, but will have it set with a Round Brilliant instead of the traditional cushion cut. We are currently shopping the usual suspects for our custom setting; Victor Canera, Steven Kirsch, Leon Mege and also a local jeweler. Sure, they have all offered Diamond Concierge services and have many options in house -- but we have also made the decision to go with this custom setting, which will eat up a considerable portion of our budget.
So we thought we would check back in with the pricescope communitiy who may be able to help dig up some additional options or unique ideas to help us stick within our initial budget.
Searching for a Modern Round Brilliant / Old European Cut that performs well (excellent cut?) and faces up to around 7mm +
