I see. Maybe I'll try to find a cheap one on Amazon to have her try on and see if she can stand the "poking." Thanks for the heads up.
Just found this stone on Brilliant Earth. 0.8 I VVS2.
Seems to have some good stats that line up with @tyty333's comments
This stone has a high crown at 36 degrees. You would really need an aset or idealscope image for this stone.
Unfortunately, BE has bad reviews too
The Scam of Brilliant Earth
Hello all. I am here to use my cautionary tale to help inform you all before you make any future purchases from Brilliant Earth. This is a longs story so I am going to try to keep it short and include only the important details. I placed my order on 11/27/2019 on the phone with a rep named...www.pricescope.com
She just wants any solitaire setting. She's not that into too much bling and just wants something comfortable to wear.
I'm aware of everything going on in the world right now. I'm just trying to get ahead of this whole thing so that way when everything (hopefully) calms down a bit I can pop the question.

10k Gold 1ct. Solitaire Pendant | Lightbox Jewelry
With 57 perfectly placed facets, VS clarity and near colorless stone the sparkle is stunning. It's not hard to see why this is our best selling necklace.lightboxjewelry.com
So when talking about lightbox and potentially purchasing one of their necklaces in a setting with another jeweler, is that what everyone is talking about?
This thread has gorgeous pictures and videos of the Lightbox pendant.
1 Ct Round Lightbox Diamond Pendant
Okay, so I decided to start a new thread because I felt like I was about to hijack the lightbox photos thread. I purchased two of the 1ct round lightbox pendants. One in yellow gold and one in white. I'm going to spend the next week or so taking pictures and videos in different lighting. I...www.pricescope.com
Now that is a nice looking stone! Wow, I might just have to do this! At $800, that price can't be beat. I'll have to see if she's comfortable with 1 carat first
I know - isn't it gorgeous?!
I am so sorry I did not see these replies sooner. I was not anticipating this many people trying to help!
Thank you very much.
I have looked into lightbox, but I heard they are owned by DaBeers which are not a good company?
James Allen has been what I'm looking at the most, but some people online have said they believe they got sent different stones than the ones shown in the videos, and that their customer service is not that great...
I've gotten in touch with D.Nea after seeing the comment above and they sent me some stones, albeit waaaaaay out of my price range. I will have to check out 1215! Does anyone have experience with them?
Or even James Allen. Maybe I've just heard the horror stories...
Hi! Lightbox engagement ring here. I'm a size 4 and this is the 7/8 carat (~.9) so the 1ct that's now available on her 4.5 finger will probably look pretty similar to this. Mine is rose gold 4 prong solitaire. Total cost I think was about $1300? I think it was $900 for the Lightbox, $350ish for the setting, and $50 setting fee.

Nice ring. That looks huge! I've read that lightbox doesn't stock rings that often. The only sizes I see for the pendants are 1 carat and 3/4 carat. Is that how you did your ring?
