Help me set my nephews 1.2 carat RB and make it sparkle

My nephew is being given my mother in laws 1.2 RB stone to give to his GF. He has a 2,000 budget, he is in NYC and he wants to make the stone look big and sparkly.

Please help me select a beautiful setting to make this stone look big and special.

Remember we will want to get the stone from one of our PS vendors in the city maybe IDJ or James Allen. Open to other vendors as long as I can make appointment.

I think I was going to suggest a round halo with sstones on shank or micro pave. No more than 2,000

The Ritani would be gorgeous and way better quality than the Gabriel. I have a Ritani halo and just love it. The halo and band are dainty (which helps make the center stone shine) and it's VERY sparkly!!!

I agree with this heiddiddl - I was seriously considering a Ritani for a reset and saw some in person at the jeweler's and they were gorgeous. I decided to go with a more vintage look but keep thinking about the Ritani - I have a 1 carat stone that I am so tempted to reset!

I called Firenzi on 47th street and they carry the Ritani line. She told he'd Ihave to order the setting it takes 3-4 weeks. She said that they are over priced and that he could get more bang for his buck withsomething from their store.

I think part of it is there is more profit margin in stuff they make ....Not sure

I literally just posted it on the SMTB forum but have regrets because I have decided I should have gone with a round halo versus cushion shape. It was made to look like the Ritani so it is set with a floating basket to wear a wedding band flush against it. I will post pics, it makes my diamond look HUGE and it's got a chic and modern feel. I am going to sell the setting, which I literally just picked up 2 weeks ago....I have the appraisal and receipts. If your nephew is interested please let me know....I would sell for half what I paid, so just under $2000. It would fit that diamond exactly!!

I have come to tthat conclusion before he had the stone set . I prefer the round halo to the cushion shape. But yours looks gorgous. Its just my preference.
