Hi!
I still have my 3.33 M OEC on hold with Adam. That will be my stone if he (or someone else) doesn't come up with something I like more in the next few weeks. I want the ring ready by mid June for our vow renewals so I figure I better decide on the setting pronto!
Here is what I know:
-Adam's bench will be making the setting (unless of course I get the stone somewhere else)...it is the MOST cost effective way for me to get the setting I want.
-I want a solitaire but with a little something something.
-I love bezels (now, didn't before PS), but probably love 6-8 curvy swoopy prongs even better.
-Yellow gold for sure (not sure on 14 or 18K) and I think it would be lovely, but not essential to incorporate a bit of platinum (as long as it could be seemless like Haven's ring) because it would allow me to mix metals easier.
-I have a size 5 - 5.5 finger depending on stacking etc.
-I am more of a classic/modern girl than antiquey per se, but I would like the setting to have a bit of antique feel so it works with the OEC.
-The overall look I want is swoopy, curvy, feminine (but not overly delicate) and seemless.
On to my inspirations. First up, Haven's gorgeousness. I love everything about this ring...two tone metal that is ridiculously seemless, swoopyness, solitaire from the top, antique cool detail from the side. And the milgrain (bezel? area)...I faint...then add prongs and you get everything I love. I do like 6 prongs better with a 3 ct. OEC though. How could a design like this be personalized (I don't want to totally rip her off
) for a round stone rather than a cushion?

Next, I just fell in love all over again with the vatche swan. I know it has been seen a LOT on here, but it really is such a stunner. Here is the link to my favorite...SandyCheeks 3ct. N...not sure if I would love it two toned as much...
