Help me choose!

Someone could have traded it in. Blue nile is on the GIA report because they had their logo inscribed on the stone. I wonder if they do that for only certain (in house?) stones. ( is there even such a thing as in-house blue Nile stones? ). Have the blue Nile Gemologist (not sales associate), inspect the stone to be sure that it matches the report, e.g., no chips or other things that could've happened since the original report was generated.

I have emailed them waiting to hear back. Thanks for the info. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to buy a diamond with blue Nile inscribed on it?

It looks great Tweety and the report date is absolutely fine and quite new actually in the overall scheme of diamond grading reports!

I wouldn't worry about the date of the report, it's not an issue. Nothing wrong with the brand inscription on the stone, you can use it for identification.

I did call blue Nile & they confirmed that the diamond was a part of the signature collection which they have discontinued & now replaced by Astor collection. They were unable to tell if the daimond was traded in by someone or just lying in the vault.

It's not an issue the date on the report but if that bothers you then that's another matter. Even if it was a trade in ( which many are), it would have been checked carefully before being accepted back, but it's possible it was a Signature that didn't find a home.

If you are uncertain then you can choose another.
