Hi so I've looked from a distance and you guys are so kind to help people find their dream stone.
I have been to the LA jewelery district but was just so lost with all the options. I found a stone I like besides the color. It was a 1.9 L VS1 EX, sparkled beautifully but the yellow was so obvious. 20190928_135109.jpg
We plan on setting it in rose gold so I am ok going down in color (up to an I).

I would like a stone that is close to 9.0mm long if possible, eye clean, and performs well.

I am no expert and I would love your help.

We would love to stay under 8k for the stone but may be able to go up to 10k.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks!

We can definitely help you! Don't buy in the jewelry district of any City unless you 100% know what you want. Otherwise you'll get totally screwed. I'm not an oval expert but I'll look for options later and hopefully some ppl who have more expertise can chime in.

Quick skim:

1.24 E VVS2
https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-details/LD12740505
'Windows' (goes see through) at some tilt/rotation angles, but most 'classic' ovals do. High colour and clarity. Chunky faceting. Not too much 'bow tie' (dark line across the centre facets).

1.23 G VS2

As 'window-y' as the first in this post, so not too bad. No real bow-tie(!) and colour/clarity should be acceptable if you are colour/clarity sensitive.

1.21 D VVS2
https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-details/LD10580422
High colour and clarity. Good faceting from the head-on and near-head-on positions, with the ends/sides working as well as the centre. No bow-tie(!). High crown(!). Windows quite a lot at tilt/rotation angles, though, and spread (size) is smaller than other options (due to the high crown taking up weight).

This one looks like a very unusual Oval cut - it looks different enough that I think @AV_ would approve!

Seems to perform well at all angles with little windowing, doesn't really have any bow-tie (although it does have a lot of lively/moving contrast patterns), although the colour looks quite tinted and the inclusion in the centre of the table might not be suitable.

High crown, not too much windowing, chunkier faceting with little bow-tie effect and is remarkably balanced across the stone.

Strong central band of facets but seemingly no bow-tie. A touch windowy at some angles but the ends and sides are performing well. Spread!! at 9.7mm x 6.5mm. Might be too low in colour but VS1 looks very clean.

Chunky faceting, ends and sides working pretty well, a bit windowy, a hint of bow-tie but not too bad, colour might be too tinted?

Minimal bow-tie and windowing, high colour and clarity, chunky faceting, ends and sides working well.
