Help finding a .45-.50 carat diamond for pendant

Hi all,

I am looking for a little help finding a great performing RB diamond in the range of .45-.5 for a pendant. My budget is $1000-1200 for the stone.

I was thinking about this stone. I know it is tough not being able to see them in the flesh.

Are there typically different parameters for RBs that will go into a pendant vs an engagement ring?

I was thinking about going with the following pendant.

I noticed the GIA report was done back in December of 2012. The other stones I was looking at had much more recent reports. Is this something to be concern about? For example, are they having a hard time unloading this stone? Sorry for the noob questions.
