Help deciding on a pair for studs - ACA or ES

Nice choice! :appl:

And very nice HCA scores, with the cut coming in at AGS 0 level. Well done! I'm sure they will be beautiful. When will you get them? Please come back and post pics in SMTB! Are you going with white metal or yellow?

Smith, she didn't need HCA on those because they are both AGS 000 ideal cut stones!

Thanks! I feel like it's a good choice and you are right....mind clean and piece of mind! I am having them set in white gold martinis. I can't wait! Now, if I can figure out this wire transfer thingy!

Oh yes, I see now! I only looked at the measurements in the link. I didn't click on Details so I missed that they were AGS triple zero anyway. NICE CHOICE OP! :appl:

Well since they are small enough (I know small is a relative term here), I would save the coin and go with the ES's. When they are mounted I don't think you could tell the difference with the naked eye. Just my 2 cents.
Please remember I am a bit more "economical" about this stuff. When I reset my wife ring with the halo border, I saved money and went with ERD vs. VC or SK because I did not think I could tell the difference (But that is just me). Best of luck.

Well, if you had looked at the prices, you would have seen that the ACA pair cost LESS than the ES pair! So I would assume your vote would change to the ACA's if you are solely going by lowest price! ;))

Thanks for the correction, I did not look at the price, go with the ACA's. :D

I got .43 each ,F, VS2 pair of ACA. Stunning! I was looking for G/H Si1 but none were available at the time. I am more than happy!

 Always a good idea to look at the price! ;)) She chose a different ES pair in a higher color in the end, though!

Hi April,

Do you have photos of your studs? I'd love to see them since my studs are almost the same size. I did have intentions of getting a pair of ACAs but in the end, they just didn't have any that fit the bill. Sheerah said the last 2 sets of ES I picked were even in performance next to the ACAs she selected. That made me feel even better.

They are near the end of the "show me your studs" thread . Not a great photo. I can try to get a better one.

Another, top two are each .15 Leo. Darn sideways pictures! I wish they could fix it!

My ACA family: three stone sides are I, Vs1. Center not ACA, H Si1. Studs ACA F, Vs1. Eternity ACA F/G Vs1.
Note there is very little color difference between the 4 grades!

I love your ACA family....I guess I am not able to join the club - yet! I am thinking about getting their jackets later in the year and then one of their pendants. So some day soon! Thanks for sharing April!

Can't wait too see your gorgeous studs!

DS2006, its a good thing for people on this board that you have the time on your hands to comment, I don't know what the forum would do without you. Thanks.

I agree. Members like DS are invaluable. She helped me during E-ring fiasco.

I just wanted to thank you all for your help! I just received my new studs today and they are definitely some sparklers! Although, after seeing your latest studs Diamond Seeker, I'm getting DSS! AHHHH!

Oh, I am SO glad you like your new studs!!!! The great thing about WF is that DSS can be eventually remedied! My current pair were upgraded! But honestly, I love all sizes of diamond studs.

Post some pics for us when you can!

I did post a few in your "Show Me Your Studs" - the glamor shots and a couple of stinky phone pics. My hubby is out of town with the professional cam but I'll have him take a few this weekend. The more realistic shot makes it look a little smaller than it is in person. Makes for some serious DSS!

My husband isn't trying to hear a word about an upgrade any time soon! He thinks they are a great size for me but I think he's telling me that so I'll hush. I may get some jackets soon to help with the look. (I really like the ones from Brian Gavin.)
