Help comparing 2+ carat WF ACA diamonds

My non expert opinion -- I'd go with the H color, because I'm more color sensitive than others (don't read this as highly color sensitive -- just more than most). And for a super ideal cut I'd trade clarity for a color bump, because the brilliance and fire will be so good regardless that the SI1, so long as it is eye clean would not bother me.

It also looks like it's one of the biggest by dimension on your list.

So that's my 2c but YMMV :)

Thanks so much for chiming in! I've already emailed that one over to WF to ask about the inclusions!

My husband is more comfortable sticking with VS2 so disregard any SI1s I posted!

DH just said he prefers to stick with VS2...

I'd prefer a stone with a higher crown and a smaller table. That just me. ;))

Did any of the ones in my original post fulfill that? What numbers would you ideally want to see?

I dont think you can go wrong with an ACA from WF, mine arrived a week ago and is in the process of being set. It made my heart skip a beat, it is a J which I was nervous about but I can say I dont see the tint at all. It looks white and sparkly!

That’s kind of what I was thinking! So glad you are happy with yours!

Make it your top one!.

Oh I thought you were originally saying you didn’t like any of my top three! I misunderstood your previous comment. Yay glad you like it!!

The 2.28ct is on the left and the 2.072ct is on the right. I could see a difference in color from the side and a bit from the top as well when comparing side by side. Was it super obvious? Not really, but I could tell.

The I VS2 has mainly lighter color inclusions and I needed 10x to see any of them.

Both are beautiful, I see the size difference and the color difference a little bit. I prefer the inclusions on the I VS2.

Thanks so much everyone I prefer the 2.28 I VS2 too!

The 2.28 I VS2 was my choice of the I color stones! It looks really good compared to the H in the pictures!

Ok great!! I honestly can’t see a difference in color in the photos. Thank you for chiming in!

F9BC14B8-72E3-49BA-99BC-6FA6C37366CA.jpeg I had Becca compare my top three I VS2 choices and below is what she said. Still liking the 2.28 the best and she agrees! I’ve put it on hold.

Please see the attached images on my hand. It’s from largest to smallest so the 2.338ct in the left (closest to palm) to 2.14ct on the right. They all looked the same in terms of color to me and all needed the 10x loupe to see the inclusions personally. Since the 2.28ct is the same face up size to the 2.338ct and nearly $750 less in price, that would still be my choice.

:lickout:Yep. The bottom one :lickout:

Actually the 2.28 I have reserved is the middle one. It’s smaller than the 2.338 by only .01 in measurements and it’s $750 cheaper. I can see the size difference here but it’s minimal and so far proportion wise people have preferred the 2.28. :)

I can't help but yearn for the bigger one in each pic. In the bottom pic I like the far left stone, and it looks noticeably bigger than the other two, and it looks whiter. I like it more. But that is only based on the static photos I see. IRL you can make a better determination of what is more sparkly.

Originally I was only looking at straight 2 carat stones and staying around 18K. So spending more and getting bigger is already pushing it, so I’m more comfortable staying with the 2.28 as it’s already bigger and more expensive than we were looking for!

@Dancing Fire what do you think of the photo and info Becca provided. Referring to the photo of the three I asked her to compare. I still like the 2.28 (as does she) but wondering what you think!
