Having a Tacori setting resized?

My girlfriend loves the Tacori rings/settings she's seen, and I've been looking around a bit to see if I can save something off the local retail prices. Well, I've found a few on Ebay from overstock type stores. I'm assuming they're not authorized Tacori dealers, and not able to order direct.

So...I'd be stuck buying the one in stock, in a 6.5. I'd need to have it resized to an 8.5

Is that even doable with this style of ring? And if so, is it a good idea? Of course, the sellers claim they can do it and it's no problem, etc. But I'm a little doubtful.

This particular setting doesn't have the crescent details on the lower half, so I imagine it could be sized easily. That being said, if the ring you are buying off ebay is even an authentic Tacori, having the seller resize it will void your warranty. If it is not an authentic Tacori ring to begin with, then it does not much matter but the ring itself does appear sizable.

Tacori isn't going to honor a warranty on piece being sold by overstock stores, so I wouldn't worry about that. I personally would worry about the pave coming loose if the ring is sized up 2 full sizes. But you really need to ask a jeweler that question.
