Halo size question, opinions needed

I am having a custom halo made for my .94 G IF oval. It's 7.95x5.17. I decided on G+, VS melee, in 1.25mm. These are basically close to 1 pointers, I think? 1.0mm's equates to half pointers? I'm a little confused. The jeweler kept referring to the diamonds as 1.25's and 1.5's. I assume that's in terms of mm size?

Yes, he's referring to mm size. a one point diamond is 1.3 mm - here's a mm chart -

The diamonds in my halo are a little under a point, and I like the size. Personal preference comes into it I guess - but I'd stick with what you've chosen.

A 1/2 pointer is 1mm in diameter.
A 1 point diamond is 1.3mm in diameter.
A 1.5 point diamond is 1.5 mm in diameter.

Hmm, I guess it comes down to how delicate you want the halo - the half point stones do look nice and might work well with your size stone - I'm not much help I guess

My 1.5 MRB (7.48mm) is in a halo of 1/2 pointers. 1pters were way too chunky.

I went back in and compared again, and I ended up with 1/2 pointers. I definitely don't want to overpower my center stone. Thanks for replying.
