I’m excited to announce that @LaylaR is now a sales associate at High Performance Diamonds.

Since 2005 Layla has been posting as Gypsy, helping thousands of Pricescopers with their special jewelry projects. We invited her to become our Social Media Manager in December 2016. Now she has joined our sales team, to personally help our clients bring their diamond dreams to life!

I’ve watched several consumer posters from this forum rise to become successful industry professionals over the years. Pricescope has helped produce sales professionals, diamond company executives, jewelry designers, even a diamond designer! Pricescope is truly a special place.

I’m so excited for “one of our own” to come to my side of the counter and put her talent and passion to use in a professional capacity as part of the HPD team.

Congratulations to both Wink and Gypsy.
Although I’m a relative newcomer, it was my participation here on Pricescope that inspired me to commence formal Gemmological studies. I thoroughly enjoy my time spent here, reading through the questions and responses - here and there adding my knowledge or experience to the “mix”.
I love the posts where a newcomer, totally bewildered by the enormity of purchasing an engagement ring, reaches out for help.
Then the amazing responses flood in, not only educating the newcomer (and me) but pointing them in the right direction, finding suitable gemstones and offering sage advice. Many a person has been “saved” from making a less than satisfactory decision when purchasing their most important and expensive gemstone - for an engagement ring.
I also love the sharing of photos, stories, hopes, dreams and disappointments.
Contributors are unfailingly generous and kind. No questions is too silly to ask and everyone is treated respectfully.
Wishing both Wink and Gypsy a long and fruitful partnership.

It is a dream job...but not just because of the bling though, but because of Wink, Melissa and Jamie-- not to mention the CBI team. They've welcomed me into their family and I am learning a lot and enjoying myself, too.

I, for one, will miss my beloved, fearless, blunt, and transparent ... Gypsy. :cry2:

And PS history/image is the reason no vendor would ever hire me. :mrgreen:

Aww... I'm still here, kenny. And you can always reach out off the boards, my friend. Especially with everything you are going through just now.

Part of the reason I agreed to work with HPD, despite other offers, is that they wanted me, as a whole package. And their philosophies align with and meet my own high standards. I could not have worked for anyone whose products, customer service, and ethics I did not agree with and still post on these boards, under any name. So... LaylaR is bound by vendor rules, and obviously, tact ;)2 but the transparency isn't going to change. As for my personality, Wink has known me for years now and hired me, not a Miss Manners clone.

I love seeing your Facebook posts but wonder if it is possible to identify the color, clarity, and weight of the CBI diamonds in the photos?

We usually do not identify anything about the diamond but the cut. We do not want to make the diamond identifiable, especially if the owner would prefer not to have anyone know who a specific diamond belongs to. Since we are showcasing the beauty of that cut and the mounting in our Facebook posts, there is no need for color, clarity or size in our posts.
