Hi,

can you guys tell what Diamond is bigger or do you think both are the same size?

they are both excellent cut

guess the:

CARAT WEIGHT OF EACH

HOW BIG THE ‘FACE UP TOP VIEW’ area is bigger in percentage ie 74%B356AA4E-4B9E-4A43-8E7F-93E81E28AFB9.jpeg

One on right looks bigger. To even wager a guess on CT there would need to be something for comparison

The one on the right is bigger. Maybe around 8% bigger (wild guess). No telling on carat weights without something to scale them with.

Will follow up with the answer soon

Right looks larger, a size guess is impossible.

As mentioned, the one on the right appears bigger based on the spread. Without seeing a profile we can’t tell if it’s actually bigger carat wise (the smaller diameter diamond on the left could be deeper thus having a greater or equal carat weight). Again, no way to estimate carat size based on this picture without any reference for actual size.

Right looks to face up larger. As others have mentioned, this is a topical view making it impossible to account for depth. Regarding the overall carat weight, there is no point of reference.

They are both 102.315cts

They are the diamond eyes of the boogeyman, and they are watching you.

After looking at it closely for a few seconds,, the right one is slightly bigger.

Correct. Left is 1.03ct and right is 1.22ct. All other proportions are the same between each diamond. I was trying to use this experiment as a way of deciding if I should increase the size of my diamond. Same proportions and 3 C’s in both (except carat) so didn’t know if this price hike was worth the extra $1100/ £900. 1.03 is approx $4800/£4000 and 1.22 is $6000/£4900. The face up difference is 11% but price jump is about 25%. What do you think? Was it hard to tell the difference or was one looking noticibly bigger and easily noticible (ie one looking a lot smaller than other one) or without staring at them for a while would you know? Thanks

I could easily see the size difference and felt the one on the right was more than 5% larger because I struggle to detect much size difference in those 2D pictures at under 5%. Personally, I like the bump is size, but only you can decide if It’s worth the extra cost. You mentioned that the other 3 Cs are the same, so would you be willing drop color and/or clarity to get the larger size without the 25% increase in cost?

I could also very easily see the size difference. Yes, I think it is worth the additional cost.

I saw the difference easily but why is the left not centered? Could that be why my eyes see the right as bigger, first and foremost?

I think it is centred!

I’d go for the bigger for $1000 increase :)

Do you have reports for both? We can help you confirm both diamonds are well cut. The “C’s” only tell you a small part of the story.
