Well said, PQ!
And now... **Drum roll** The clarity grade of the stone is... I-1!!
The major inclusions are a group of feathers in the 3:30 position and a longer feather in the upper main face corresponding to 9:00. None of them break the surface or the girdle and the stone is, of course, eye-clean even when scrutinized pretty closely. You can make out the inclusions with your naked eye only after having examined the stone under magnification, and believe me, even at that point it's really hard to see them! ...And they are in a completely prongable position... Once the diamond is set you can kiss 'em bye bye!
I would attach a copy of the GIA report, but the system keeps saying it's too large a file.
Thanks to all of you who decided to vote and congrats to all those who chose I-1 as the right answer!
I decided to start this thread to show people that even stones looking ''so-so'' on the paper can be beautiful... Numbers and grades are a great tool to sort down the # of stones up for consideration, but don't forget to trust your gut and your tastes at the end.
Once again, special thanks to all our resident experts and consumers that decided to post their opinion, to PQ for helping me during the buying process and to Barry for selling me a beautiful stone!!
