I love it Dreamer, very open setting, that''s awesome. At some point post pics comparing it with old stone. This is very white, it looks great. So glad DH is a partner with you on this and got in on the pictures..
It is very white. I don''t have a good photo for comparison, in the same lighting environment, but this one has the K in sunlight and the G on an overcast day.

So glad you love it - great color.
Looks very nice, aren''t you glad you did this ;-)

Beautiful ring, Dreamer!!! It goes perfectly with the band. Congrats!!!

So, what do I think?

Color

Well the color is simply gorgeous. This is a G bordering on F, and it shows. The difference in color from my previous diamond to this one is not subtle at all. It is glaring. It is actually a little hard to get used to the steely look of a G color diamond when you are used to the warmth of a J/K. I did like the the warmth face up next to my skin, but I hated it from the side. I much prefer this diamond from the tilt angles. My husband just plain flat out prefers this color, so I think we have found a winner there!

The strange thing is that this diamond looks bigger to me. I don''t know if it is the new head that is more open and sits a little higher, or not having it around for 3 weeks, or the fact that it is so ICYICYWHITE

25.gif
but somehow it attracts the eye more and looks more prominent on my hand. I don''t think it is totally an illusion of my memory, I think it is a real optical trick from the color and brightness of the stone.

When I changed my ering setting from a micro pave split shank to a solitaire my stone definitely looked bigger (my mum, sister and FI couldn''t believe the difference the solitaire made). Settings can really make a difference to how big a stone looks. My diamond is a G/VS2 and IF I ever upgraded I''d stick with that color/clarity.

Thanks so much joelly, lknvrb4, yssie (your three stone is my dream ring!), bella, EHR2009, junebug, uppy (it is pretty darn close to exactly what I wanted

Beautiful new stone

Are you still planning on getting a 3 stone made with it?
Yes... maybe... sort of... I am not totally sure! LOL! This diamond will get a forever setting but I am not totally sure what that will be yet. I love a 3 stone but I also want something more unique and individual. We will see!

The change from my old setting to this one are so subtle, that is why I wondered if it was the color as well adding to the visual pop...

Oh definitely! G is a great color to make a stone pop. I can't wait to see what you decide on for your final setting. Just my humble opinion but I wouldn't go for a setting that will overshadow your lovely new center stone

It really is a beautiful ring!

DD, your new diamond looks awesome!!! It''s soo icy white!!! I''m so glad you finally got your ring back! It does look a bit bigger than your K, but it could be because it''s so white. Glad you got a deal on it as well!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

That does look much bigger somehow! You are right! Just lovely!!!!

Congrats!!! I can tell from your words how thrilled you are with this beauty!

DD its beautiful!! Congratulations on your icy new rock

The stone looks absolutely gorgeous and I am happy that you have it! Take as many pics as you want - you know we never get tired!

Here''s hoping that in the coming days and weeks the inclusions don''t become a huge problem for you - the color is splendid and the cut of the stone looks superb!

It is beautiful - congrats!

Very pretty!!! I love the setting! Sorry about the delay.

Dreamer, I am so glad that you are happy with your new diamond. It is a very beautiful, sparkly and bright diamond! I think that you will get used to the color in no time. The new head is really nice too. Enjoy your new little pretty.

dreamer, it''s GORGEOUS!

G is a great color, and that cut is amazing.

Great color, I really do think it borders on an F because I can''t tell the difference between your diamond and mine (which is an F with the same cut). And of course, the BGD has such a great cut. Enjoy it!

Thanks Blackpaw, marym, diamond*dana, luckyeshe (I think it was a deal because I got exactly what I wanted

Thanks MGR! I think you are right about the inclusions. I really love this diamond, the cut is really great and the color.. wowee zowie! The inclusions are completely invisible except for one little black spec. It isn''t the greatest SI2 on the earth, there are cleaner ones out there, but such a hassel to find a stone you love. I have to look at it at the right angle, about 4-6 inches from my eye, tilted just so to see the spot. *shrug* unless budget is to the moon its always gotta be something. I would hate to spend a lot more money just to get rid of that little speck
2.gif
But we shall see. I don''t think the door will ever close on the chance to change if I needed to. But I can say right now I really really don''t want to.

The setting is another matter. Now that I have the diamond I gotta figure out how to set it! I think that will make me bonkers there are so many options!

It is hard for me to imagine something more colorless for fun it would be interesting to compare to a D. I owned an F in the past and it looked just like this, only not cut as well and a lot smaller.

Girl, we both need to think about our forever settings (well, for a while setting in my case
3.gif
I doubt it will be forever). How to even begin??

It''s beautiful dreamer, and looks great on you
