Beautiful ring, Dreamer!!! It goes perfectly with the band. Congrats!!!

Thanks! It looks good with my half eternity too, I''ll post some pics tomorrow.
I can''t wait!!

How''s your 3-stone project going? Do you still want to add sidestones to this beauty?

Thanks...

Dani - I don''t know that I deserve it, really, I am feeling quite spoiled this year

Jill_s yes, the color difference is really quite phenomenal and makes me much happier staying at this size, since in my dreams I would like a much larger diamond. When does your new one come in?

Circe When will you get your pear back?

Thanks LovesVintage, Cachette, luv3sparkle (I actually find the whole diamond selection process stressful, so it is good to have a nice vendor for sure!), SNICKLEFRITZ, AND GECKO! NOT SURE WHY THIS IS IN CAPS.

I *think* so. What I really need is a "fun ring" fakey to wear around the house and figure out if it is really really the look I am after. Every time I go to the store and try a three stone on I adore it, but then when I come home and don''t have it in front of me I start wondering again if it is really what I want to do!

If anyone is curious, this is the inclusion that I can see if I hold the diamond about 6 inches from my face, squint one eye closed, and look at it in such a way that the inclusions sits over a white-light returning facet. It looks large in this photo, but what it looks like in person is a little dot or spec about the size of a pin prick.

I am still not *totally* certain about whether this is something I can live with
5.gif
My husband adamantly wants to keep this diamond, he simply adores the size and color, and to keep those factors but lose the pic prick that I can only see when I hunt it down at 6 inches would cost us almost 2k more
20.gif
which when I write it like that certainly seems stoopid. But diamonds are not logical

YEY! Congrats on the upgrade!! I have a G colour too and love it. I don''t think I could go down in colour on my finger ...but my ears are another story. Those I can live with a bit of colour
3.gif
. As for the inclusion, I say Shrug it off for now, and just enjoy that bright white goodness. When the time comes for your next ''move'', whatever that may be, you can recify this inclusion issue. As you said, one step at a time
2.gif
.

I''m still looking for the "forever" setting for my ''Romy Ring'' (push present) and cannot for the life of me decide. Sheesh. It''s overwhelming. I can relate.....

I did that Dreamer, I actually did! I wanted to be sure that I would like the shape, side stones and size.

Thanks for posting the comparison pics of the old K stone and your new G.
The new stone looks bigger.

Oh, and I realized I have not commented on Cut!

This is a lovely diamond, perhaps my favourite so far. The first diamond I owned excelled in bright white light return, the second in broad flash fire in spot light or bright sunlight, but this baby seems to excel in sparkle scintillation mixed with pinflash fire. Sitting here with a window beside me, there is lovely splintery colored light dancing accross the surface, as well and lovely dark and light patterning.

Congratulations on your ICY WHITE DIAMOND, Dreamer! I''m curious to see how the Inclusion Issue will be sorted out. I, too, learned a thing or two about the Color Issue from owning a K. :) Love it in a pendant, but as I prefer e-ring settings with open sides I realize that I wouldn''t go that warm. Sad. My K is an SI2 too but I can''t see the inclusions - probably because at .47ct it''s too small.

As for that play ring? Nordstrom''s.

So glad you went for the G, dreamer!

Such are pretty stone and a great looking wedding set. It sounds like you are quite satisfied with the color and the price point. My guess is that for $2k you will be able to forget about that itty bitty speck. But, do come back around March, or so, and give us an update.
2.gif

DD it really is gorgeous. It will be interesting to see how you feel about the "$2000" pin prick
3.gif
in a few months. Can''t wait to see how it ends up (and if it goes in a three stone

)

haha... when I think about the cost of losing this speck it seems super silly. I do not want to spend any more money on my diamond, that is my new years resolution. So the only way to change is a different G SI2 that is cleaner looking. But I don''t know if that is even possible or whether I want to go through the risk of having a different diamond that I don''t like as much. I really like this diamond.

Settings... blerg.

I think the size does matter a lot. Smaller diamond means more tightly packed facets I think, means easierto hide little beasties.

I looked on NOrdy''s web site and didn''t see anything, and I live in Canada so no visiting in person

I will keep looking around.

I like thinking of it that way. I am very budget minded and that makes it feel like a good deal, and I like a good deal.

For context, that pinprick represents a 25% decrease in price!

I am soooooooooooooo lovin these prongs, YUM!!!
30.gif

Your little booger can be the size of the table for all I care. I''d be too distracted by the these luscious prongs. I want prongs like these for my stone, but with six instead of four.

I like your fakey idea! It''s cheap and it lets you try out the style to see if you like it. Do you like pear shapes at all? One of my personal faves is a round center stone with pear sides.
18.gif

DD- I bought a three stone cz ring on ebay. I doubt I can link you to the store since its cz and all, but got it for like $20. Do a search on ebay, you'll find many sellers that sell them for quite cheap for a "fun fakey ring" there are tons out there.

OooOh how did I miss this thread? It''s so pretttttyyyyy! more pics! :)

Looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
