For claw prongs, I''d see if GOG or Excell could do it. I was thinking Leon but have a feeling the setting would cost more than the stone.

I know. Im really tempted right now. This stone would be so perfect for a floating pendant with single claw prongs!!! YUMMY!!!!

1.04ct. It''s a beautiful stone but those new cushions, omg. I saw it last night and haven''t been able to get my mind off of it.

Im mjust wondering if this stone would look substantial on its own- I want something that looks a decent size. What do you think??

That''s the thing, it faces up like a .55ct round. Is that substantial for a pendant? I think so based on my own half carat stones. In fact, I think it''s an excellent size for a pendant. But what do you think?

OMG, I didnt even know that!!!! Kind of sucks. I dont know if I would think that was a good size, I would have to see it on!!! Hmm!!!!

Dani- do a search here for pendants. Here''s one that was just posted in SMTR. Looks like a good size to me https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-birthday-bezel-oec-pendant.108240/ and it''s 1/4ct.

Chelle, I was referring to this stone http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/5552/ which I "think" is the one in the video posted here. If it is the same stone, it measures 5.25x5.40 which is the size of a .55-.60 well cut round.

Most of the cushions I''ve seen on PS are smaller than rounds of the same weight. I''m sure there are cushions out there that measure about the same or even bigger, I just don''t know how pretty those are as ONLY experience with them
has been on this site (I''m not counting the few I''ve seen in person since they''ve all looked like radients.)

Hoping a cushion specialist will chime in.

I have a feeling that he was swamped with responses, I emailed him about the stone late last night. My future fiance'' and I were looking to purchase the stone for an engagement ring. But I am now concered bc it only appears as a half ct round. I have large fingers, and this may not be enough stone - even if set in a pave/halo setting.

You'll hear from Jon, after he hangs his coat and gets the day started. But definitely call instead of waiting for an email reply.


I was lucky to see prototype #1 in person and it was an awesome magnificant stone. Someone snatched it up pretty quick and it was a larger size. I imagine this one, in that price range, will go quickly too. It's a beauty!

Eva- he mentions at the end of the video that they''re expecting the 3rd one in. Think he said it''s a 1.13ct. Any idea of the color, clarity?

As much as I want one, not realistic (although my BF will see that beauty). I hope one of you gets it and posts pics.

I am sure if they sell fast, more will be cut. Hopefully they won''t jack the price up too much. And most cushions are cut a little on the deep side, so the face up appearance doesn''t bother me all that much. I mean the fire makes up for it.
