Girdle refection or horizontal crack? + Strong FL question

I recently bought a 1.04ct J si1 Strong blue, but when checking over it I noticed what looked like a horrizontal crack all the way through the diamond around halfway between the girdle and the point. There is no mention of inclusions or feathers in that region of the stone. I hope its just a reflection and nothing more. Pictures below

Below are some pictures of the stone in sunlight and shade, does it look milky in the sunlight to you?

Definitely Girdle Reflection, I would say, so no worries there.

Some very macro shots (so the diamond fills most of the picture) in the sunlight would be easier to use to ascertain any effects of fluorescence :)

Do you have a blacklight / UV torch?

Thanks for your reply. Thats reassuring to know, I checked again looking from underneath and the 'crack' disapears so im pretty sure it must just be girdle reflection.

I will try and get some close up images of the stone in direct sunlight, but as Im located in the UK its a rare event :boohoo:

When the sun does come out make sure your stone is very clean when you go to take pictures!

Your diamond is just fine! I have had a strong blue before and while there was a slight lavender haze in sunlight, I actually liked that! I am seeing my diamond mostly indoors or in natural daylight. I am not seeing my diamond in direct sunlight often enough for that to be a factor. But no, I don't think a strong blue with good clarity is usually going to have a problem.
