Hi everyone, thank you for all the great input you have provided during my lengthy search for the perfect center stone.I hope I found a winner but please be honest. I have seen this in store lighting and it looked great.
Please provide your input on this GIA stone (Cert 6147438680) which cost 7900 (original budget was 7k!)
1.21 CT (6.85 - 6.89 x 4.25mm),
GIA Ex Cut, Ex Polish, VG symm (I had previously only been looking at triple X - what is your thoughts on VG symm with Ex Cut and Polish)
G Color
SI2 Clarity (very clean for Si2) (see plot on GIA cert)
No Fluorescense
HCA score 1.1 (Ex, Ex, Ex, Vg).

My budget has always been 7k for stone (stone in questions is 900 over budget) and I was looking for GIA 1-1.12 carat. Ex, Ex, Ex, F-G, SI1 (stone in question is Si2 but a very clean Si2) that scores great on HCA. I finally realized a larger stone looks much better in the ring which is a wider ring and the model we saw had a 1.25 ct, which I actually thought was a little big looking so I ideally wanted something around 6.6-6.8mm.
I am a little hesitant because its over budget and I havent been looking in this range but its also larger then what I have been looking at. I have been looking at many stores and online and prefer local as I like to see what I am paying big bucks for first. Let me know what you think of this stone.
