if a GIA cert diamond graded Good does this mean the diamond is IDEAL cut? ?

what is the minimum proportions for a diamond to be considered ideal cut?

GIA's good meets no one's definition of ideal. Good for GIA is one up from Fair, and is definitely below very good and excellent in their own system. Belle's post points I think only to how some controversy exists comparing what is top for GIA (excellent) and ideal for AGS. Good is way neither for anybody.

Modest disagreement about what's "minimum" for best/ideal. Somewhat conservatively, go by either AGS's current definition (best confirmed by a cert from them saying 0), or get GIA excellent (sometimes vg) and co-screen with a) HCa and b) Idealscope. There are more narrow sets of angles you can see on Nice Ice's site and here...but finding them is not really consistent with your request for "minimum" proportions...since these narrow sets are rather constrained....and not a "minimum" requirement at all.
