I have 2 engagement rings. 1 is white gold with a .50 solitaire diamond, the other is yellow gold with a .46 solitaire diamond. I was thinking of getting the 2 solitaire diamonds off the rings and put onto one band, is that possible? I really dont know where to start lol.Has anyone had this done,if so can you show me pics please? Or....would i be better just selling them ? All advise is greatly appreciated xx20190618_181355.jpg 20190618_181348.jpg 20190618_181235.jpg 20190618_181206.jpg

You can definitely reuse the stones to create one ring. They seem to be pretty close in size although I can’t really make out the faceting patterns. (It will be beneficial to clean them with some dish soap and a soft toothbrush and post additional photos).

You can create toi et moi type ring with the two stones alone, here are some examples:

Or you can also get a third stone and create a three stone ring. The third stone doesn’t have to be a diamond, it could be a sapphire, spinel, garnet, etc. and create a three stone ring. Examples below:

Does a particular style speak to you? Also, what’s your budget for the reset?

Hey =)2 i quite like the 1st and third design. I havent a clue on price, as i dont know much anything about things like this lol. I wasnt sure if i would be better selling them or getting them reset into another design. Ive added more pics but lighting is terrible here. Thankyou!20190618_194838.jpg 20190618_194830.jpg 20190618_194738.jpg 20190618_194707.jpg

Would you enjoy wearing them if they were together in the same ring? If you would then keep them and reset them.

They really need a good bath.

You can look at this website for settings. You would need to contact a jeweler to find out what the cost would be for the setting and
to mount your two stones.

Fun project! Are you opposed to setting them as earrings? One PS-er here had two different sized diamonds set as earrings, and the jeweller David Klass was able to adapt the thickness of the setting to disguise them so that they looked nearly identical. In any case, good luck and have fun!
