Omg congrats! I love it, it’s beautiful! In case you decide not to keep it please please reach out to me! =)2=)2=)2
Thanks! I hope it’s more beautiful in person. You will get first dibs if the stone doesn’t work out. :)

I too will look forward to seeing more pics of the tourmaline.

And Elle, is that your way of saying that you bought the sapphire?!!

Nope. I'm totally innocent this time. :lol-2:

Hard to capture how sparkly it is. Definitely happy with my purchase. :)

It looks gorgeous in all those pics. Congrats on such an awesome tourmaline. Do you have any thoughts on what you might do with it? :twisted2:

Beautiful! Teal is one of my favorite colors for tourmaline!

I purchased the pink sapphire, but I am so conflicted when it comes to deciding if I should keep it or return it :cry2: I love the color in incandescent light and it is interesting that it shifts to a lavender hue in daylight. The inclusions seem to be my deal-breaker, but it is still a beautiful stone! Here are some images for your viewing (please pardon the poor quality pics and unmanicured look)

If the inclusions bother you, then I wouldn’t put it in a ring. I think it looks beautiful in that pendant setting, though, and given the viewing distance that most will see it at, they probably won’t notice the inclusions. So, I guess it depends on how you want to set it?

Thank you for your feedback! I agree with you that the stone is probably better suited for a pendant. The initial idea was to set it as a right hand ring which is why I am so confused. I do like the pendant look, but the issue is that I rarely wear pendants..:(2 Nonetheless, Gene is so awesome to work with that I fell bad returning anything to him, but perhaps something more suitable for me will show up in the future.

P.S. @NKOTB your CS collection is beautiful! I have been drooling over so many of your gorgeous jewels, I just realised that they belong to you!:D

It's sold! Hope a PS'er got it and posts lots of pics!!!!
I bought it. The color is fabulous and I have a thing for garnets, so when Gene restocked, I went for it. I have never spent so much on a stone, but I've decided to stop buying little "silly" stones, and just buy a few that wow me. I found a bunch of stones I bought about 10 years ago, mainly on eBay. What a waste, although some were only $10. :wall: I'll post pictures when this baby arrives!

If I felt as you do, I would most likely return it. I have found that there is almost always a better one that comes along - if we can just have the patience.
