UPDATE: The parcel cleared CDN customs at 1 p.m. today. It will be kept locked in Fedex''s secure site overnight. Tomorrow morning it goes on the truck for delivery to my office.

And the SQUEALING will begin sometime between 9 and noon!

For some reason, I have become very "verklempt" tonight about my ring. All of a sudden it''s NOT about the blue bling. But it''s about FINALLY restoring an engagement ring onto my finger.

I didn''t expect it would be so emotional. Jeff White just e-mailed me last night after he saw the pics I sent him, and he had such nice things to say about the ring. I give him all the credit for the amazing beauty in the stone, and WF the rest for the incredible workmanship and service.

I''m going to try and see if I can find my original engagement pic. There was a very good angle of my 1987 sapphire in there.....

The quality is probably lousy but it is the real thing!

Congrats re: Jeff. Just a heads up; he''s out of town for a few days, starting today I believe.

When I was searching, the best way we figured out how to get the colour was, he and both loaded this website: http://crossjewelers.com/sapphire/HowToBuyAsapphire.htm

I knew that I wanted my stone to be somewhere between "Camelot" and "Royal" blue. (There are SO MANY descriptions of blue....)So when he had a stone, he could determine that for me (YOU CAN TRUST HIS EYE!). Because sometimes pc monitors show pictures differently....that method worked out really well for us. As far as cut is concerned, he is the master. If he says it is high quality it IS. Anyhow, that might help.

I hadn''t really thought of it....Sweet DH is not home Thursday so I can play at the computer in the evening

But yes, a lovely dinner and trip to Niagara Falls is in the works for the long weekend!
