tried on some rings at different jewelers this past weekend, but everything I tried there seems to be a gap between the engagement ring and wedding band. is it normal? thanks!
There are "fitted" styles with nearly no gaps. Some plain engagement rings don''t create a gap with a plain wedding ring.
There are many styles of engagement ring with lots of shape down near the finger which will create large gaps to an unfitted wedding ring. It is up to you to ask and find what makes you happy. Go to a high end store and look around. Don''t be intimidated. Dress nice and go "shopping". Maybe you will find the experience better than you think.
Some people actually like a little gap so it doesn''t appear to be one big ring. I like a little gap with mine. So I''d say it is normal but personal preference as to what you like!
Gap vs. no gap is really personal preference. If you want a ring without a gap between the band, then this is what you should get! Be careful of shared prong styles because when the diamonds rub on the setting or the other diamonds, damage can occur.
I have a small gap, I don''t mind it. There are settings that will sit flush with a wedding band. It''s all a matter of if a gap will bother you or not.
