(Future) Whitby Jet protects (x2)

I'm always willing to pay for a parcel and use only the best!

absolutly
i must go count up how many i need

but i do just doubt im going to go down this route with the jet
i just want to se what it looks like

ironically with all the Navajo jet ive brought ive had very few rejects (brown tinge)

i know pearls are more tradional but i would have loved some of those royal ladies to break out the whitby Jet hiding in their royal vaults, for the Pope's funeral

Yes! The service had me thinking about mourning jewelry too... this is an interesting article if you have the time.

its interesting how mourning didnt always mean black
i think Queen Victoria just exhausted her family and even their descendants today , and the wider UK and empire/ commonwealth with her mourning and after HM's passing she more or less killed it off, or thankfully at least prolonged mourning, and does anyone even practice the 2nd stage (Amethyst) of mourning jewellery anymore ?
but Whitby Jet suffered from being tainted by mourning for so long, unless you are a tiara with the British royal family Amethyst was a lot more fortunate

The goth movement in the 90's sort of brought it back.

I remember black being very popular one year in the accessories shop we used to have down the mall early this century. The lady on the paint counter at work and I used to try and outdo each other in the necklace dept all in good fun. Each pay day I'd trot down there and see what was on special

i am having trouble with the malachite i ordered (kind for for fun) to see what it looks like with the fascated jet
see i have been sick for about a month with covid complications and forgot all about it
on thursday i remembered and i looked on etsy and it said it arrived March 30th but there has been nothing in the letterbox and our letterbox is locked and deep and secure -if full of ants
its been a public holdiay here so the vendor wont have been able to have found out anything from the NZ delivery yet

Oh honey, I hope you're feeling better! Did you see your doctor? They have meds now that can lessen the symptoms and duration. I had covid back at the very beginning of the pandemic (mom and dad brought it home from an event we begged them not to attend). At that time, it was still scary. The only symptoms I had were loss of taste and smell. And how angry I would've been had they not returned! I'm a foodie before all else!!

Jet and spinel are my favorite opaque black gems And your necklace with the rose quartz is just lovely. Strong, but feminine vibes.

Hmm, so the tracking says delivered? I was going to suggest perhaps checking with neighbors first, but they would've surely brought the package to you by now. Best to inquire with your local post office after the holiday. Did you purchase the beads on etsy?

i dont think it was delivered by thee post office courier, but another courier
thank for likeing my necklace, it is at least one of my finished projects !
that is scary you had covid at the begining, thats hwne our boarders were locked up tight to keep all the germs out
the catual covid wasnt so bad, only one day i felt really misserable and Garyy's was very mild thankfully, but then i got vertigo for about a week
then i got the most dreadful headache, after 10 days i went up to the hospital becuase i knew this was not right

warning ugly details will follow -put down that sandwhich
the nurse said this covid had been a very dizzy covid
by this stage i knew it wasnt a headache but an ugh carpunkle, if i had known it was that the week before i would have been using antiseptic ointmnet and the soap we take camping (protex)
its just like i cant rememebr ever having pain like that, i couldnt move my head
the doc poked and prodded it and it hurt more, the nusre said oh that must hurt a lot
i got antibiotics and three types of pain killers and the week off work -which i dont think was long enough but our store manager gave me last week as well
seee when i had covid i was hot and sweaty and i had a zitty thing in my hair on the back of my head/neck and i kept playing with it
also i /we ate really baddly, as i had no energy, Gary had a lot of tinned soup but i was having oven chips and chicken nuggets as i had very little taste

i went to work yesterday and i couldnt bend down as that hurts my head, otherwise its mostly just uncomfertable now just with the pressure and with painkillers only about 10% pain, 30% when the painkiller runs out , Gary says it loooks a lot better, just like a big red plump bump thats full of fluid, which is a lot better than the oogly ozzy mess it was before , sometimes it leaks a bit of thin bloody fluid and im sick of sleeping on a paper towel on my pillow, but i think it might just slowly reabsorb now

sorry for gross details
i had to cut about 6 inches off my hair, then the doctor cut more off
if i had the energy i would cry over that
i cant brush it and im washing with the portext soap and what is left is turning into dreads, im hoping in a few days conditioner will work wonders

Poor thing! What a fiasco!! So was the infection in your scalp due to covid you think? Lots of weird symptoms going around, so you never know. Everyone who's had this strain says a massive headache accompanies it. I'm glad the worst of it is over for you. Chin up!!
