Without giving measurements to you, can you look at the following two stones are going to look differently - based on the IS and Aset photos shown? They are both ACA, score well within the box on HCA. I''m just curious to see what folks think from the images.

I don''t think they are going to look too different from one another. After adjusting the lighting and equipment setup differences, it looks like the IS and ASET are virtually identical!

I agree - to me it looks like the major difference is...the lighting.

If they are the same colour there is no way anyone can pick those 2 from each other

Measurements:
Stone 1
Depth %: 61.3
. Table %: 57.4
. Crown Angle: 34.6
. Crown %: 14.8
. Star : 57.4
. Pavilion Angle: 40.8
. Pavilion %: 43
. Lower Girdle %: 76
.
Stone 2
Depth %: 61.8
. Table %: 55.8
. Crown Angle: 34.8
. Crown %: 15.4
. Star : 50
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 42.9
. Lower Girdle %: 76

Does this info provide any additional information that you could comment on? Star ratio is considerably different.

One is G SI1, one F VS2... I'm thinking of going with the F as an upgrade. Size virtually identical.

Here's my non-expert guess:
It's all in the combination of ALL angles, hence the star ratio ended up being a bit more different, but not a whole lot that I would be concerned. Plus we don't have all the angles on the stone, so looking at the ASET and IS is more reliable than the numbers. As far as which to pick, it's your choice. You can go wrong with either stone.

I doubt my eyes could pick up on the differences between these two stones in person. they both look lovely by the way!

If it''s eyeclean, I''d go for the G myself. Unless you''re highly color sensitive, you''re not going to see any, and you''ll save some cash.

Either way, you know the drill.

I have the G already - I''m upgrading for a small price to the F.
