Have you tried J'Adore Touch de Parfum? It's beauuuuuutiful. It basically bypasses topnotes and just goes straight for a jasmine-sandalwood drydown. Not miles away from Bois des Iles. I've asked for a bottle for my birthday (along with a silver bathtub chain from Tiffy's )

Wearing Dior Eau Noire today. The green tsavorite of perfumes.

Omg.....screw Amouage for now I am gonna look into this instead

Actually I love blind buying...I find it somehow more satisfying and adventurous than sampling. Like I feel sooooo_successful_after scoring a decent blind buy. I also am very indiscriminate when ordering samples so I end up w a huge pile of what I consider TOXIC...

Yesterday I found a huge spot with real fragrant violets.
I adore the scent. So sweet and special. Spring is officially here. Can't wait for the real.Lily of the valley to bloom.

SOTD Nasomatto Baraonda. Good for this cool crisp "Spring" (hahaha that's a stretch) day. I don't love this as much as Black Afgano but I enjoy this one too. Boozy, woodsy, spicy.

I LOVE violets! I just bought some in fact for the garden and a friend has some Devon type violets growing on her lawn so I need to get round there with a fork to see if she'll let me have some. They're the dear little violets with the tiny spriggy flowers.

Have you tried Chanel Misia if you love violets?

I haven't tried Misia (was at 31, rue Cambon a month ago, but got distracted in the small leather goods section ). Planning a trip to town Tuesday, so I'll try to sniff it.
I love TF Violet blonde though.
And I looooove violet - liquorice candy. It's surprisingly close to the real sweet violet scent. The ones in my garden are tiny, but very fragrant. The real deal.

This one is a weird one, I own a full bottle and keep reaching for it but I am not sure I like it....it makes me slightly ill I swear at times. Today I sprayed inside my car, and I just dropped off my car for service....I am too scared to know what the inside of my car smells like. Poor car mechanic guy....

Great minds think alike! I woke up planning on wearing Fauborg 24EDP as well! I used to wear it like a signature scent years ago. I love it so much especially after the first 30 min.

Nothing for me today - except Yves Rocher Almond Orange Blossom shower gel.

If you haven't tried Yves Rocher stuff - I highly recommend you do. It's dirty cheap, always on sale, and often composed by some of the best perfumes (Annick Menardo, for example). Blows B&BW out of the water.

I'm a big BdI fan - but I'm in the minority that I prefer the EDT over the parfum. I can't speak for the new EDP, but the EDT just has a shimmering quality that I love. The parfum is nice...but just nice.
