Hello everyone,

This is my first post and I''m a bit new to this. I''ve been looking at asschers for about the last 6 months and I think I found one in my price range that still looks good. I think this stone has a great blend of value, without sacrificing too much. Can someone tell me what it means when the girdle is faceted? I''ve never heard of this before. I woud really appreciate all of your feedback on this diamond, I''m trying to figure out if it is worth it. The price on the diamond is just under 10k. Thank you for all your help in advance, I''ll be watching this post closely!

Best Regards,

I''m working on getting this asap. Can you tell me what this will tell you about this diamond?

I''ve never used the IS before. I can''t provide this without the dealer sending it to me or having the diamond on site to take it right?

right...

The stone is borderline in both table and depth for the table but its priced right for that being the case if the IS looked good while not the best may be ok.

Given a sort of approximate recommendation of table 55-65 and depth 60-70, how do you rate the combinations within the ranges? Low(T)/Low(D) vs. Low(T)/Mid(D) etc?

over 70% depth it should have a small table and high crown which makes up for the lost spread or a reduced price. Crown height is more important than depth.
Table under 65 and matching depth with 70% being the cut off for typical crowns, but there are exceptions if the price is right.
Even at 65 table everything else has too be right for me too consider it.
For example this one rocks!

Most of the best asschers on the market right now are in the 58-63 table range with depths around 68. (crown height 15%-18%)
As always with asschers numbers drool and pictures rule.

Here is the IS. Diamond dimensions forthcoming. Let me know what you guys think.

hmmm the lighting is way hot on that IS image.
Have them try again because it looks borderline in that one but the lighting is way too bright.
If thats all they will provide id say no.. everything is borderline so id pass but if a redone IS with proper lighting looks better I will reconsider.

I''ll try to get them to redo it. Thank you for your insight. Do you think that spec in the middle is an inclusion? I''m not as experienced viewing IS images, but that''s what it looks like to me. Thanks again, I''ll keep you posted on my progress.

Josh
