If the crown height is over 10% (ask) then its kicken

Ohhhh it looks pretty and the expert has alreay chimed in! I hope it''s good!

Love those windmills!

My first thought was that the table was a tad bit large, but as Strm said, it would be fine if the crown height was higher. I think it looks pretty!

What do you guys think of the price?

They won''t know the crown height...is it a bad sign?

If not, I will bring it in to take a look. : )

if they have it on hand ask them too estimate it, its easy too do.
Or get a side profile picture and post it.
More than likely its over 10 and around 14 but there are ways too cheat so that''s not 100%

As a side note...another vendor is offering me the diamond below as an alternative of the one above.

Cut Cornered Square Step Cut
1.07 carat
H VS1
5.79 X 5.71 X 3.75 mm
Very Good
Very Good
Fluorescence: none
Table: 67%
Depth: 65.7%

Do you guys agree the #1 (posted above) has more potential?

I am alsoconcerned this one is cut cornered square - step cut...Is it the same? Is it good or bad?

Pls let me know your opinion.

I will only have pictures of this one tomorrow : (

I wouldnt even consider that one myself.
#1 is much better and if the crown height is ok its one I would buy myself.

Good to know. Thanks for the insight! AS

10% is the min.. with a 65% table is should be around 14

I love 20%+ but that is a whole different class of asscher :}

Thank you! I will keep these numbers in mind.

Can you guys help me to "guestimate" the crown height of the diamond discussed above (as per side view attached below)?

Thank you a lot!

because of the tilt its impossible to get an exact number but its fine buy it.
The asscher is kicken

using diamCalc and matching it up as best I could too verify my eyes and I got 14.2 so its right around where it should be.
In this case id just have gone with my eyeballs its fine.

What should the crown height be for a diamond with a 68.2% depth and a 61% table? Is there any type of calculator out there that helps with this type of information?

should run over 15% I have seen them run up too 19% with a 61 table.

The only calculator is in my head for this stuff right now.
For example the p3(bottom of the pavilion on a 3 tier) angle is absolutely critical but the numbers are not a good judge of whats the right angle but a good picture shows it instantly.
Thats a huge reason numbers drool and pictures rule.

In general 1xw, crown height, table, and depth are the numbers too look at the rest is pictures or seeing it in person.
There are just too many angle combinations that can make a kicken asscher too put any weight on the angles.
