First Diamond purchase

Hi All,

This is my first time posting in any sort of forum (apologies if I have done something wrong) but I want to ask for comments on a diamond engagement ring I have just purchased from BGD. I have done a lot of research on here and other resources and really wanted a super ideal diamond so compromised on colour and carat.
I am still waiting on more images before confirming my purchase but at this stage my only concern is the crystal inclusions in the report. My Budget was around 6500 - 7100 USD. This diamond will be set in BGD classic tapered half round solitaire.

You can ask the BGD representative if it is 'eye-clean' to your requirements - 6", 12", closer, further away, face-on, from the side... - and they should be able to advise you

It should look great, though - I don't regret spending the little extra for a superideal for 'peace of mind' and to remove the 'what if...?' questions in my head! lol

Would be surprised if a VS1 wasn't eye-clean but ask them the question.
And furthermore if you want ask for video/pics.

Looks great to me! It's really unlikely that the inclusions will be an issue due to the VS1 clarity, but you can certainly ask BGD!

Beautiful stone!. I wouldn't any concern about a VS1 clarity stone.

That looks really beautiful! I agree with what everyone else has said. I think you've made a great choice. I also wouldn't worry about the clouds not shown comment; at VS1, and as it doesn't say 'grade based on clouds not shown' it should be absolutely fine.

Thank you everyone for your replies. They have really helped to settle my first time buyer anxiety.
I purchased the diamond without any images available but I liked the specs/had faith in the quality of BGD and didn't want to miss out. The wait for images and the AGS report allowed for doubt to start creeping in but thanks to the wonderful people here that has alleviated.
The BGD representative will be sending through all the typical images and video over the next few days. I'll be sure to keep you all updated with photos over the process.

The photos have just been uploaded to the BGD listing and it is beautiful
No noticeable inclusion to me even in the closest zoom. So happy with my choice! Now for the next nerve wracking step, the proposal haha.
I'll keep any of you who are interested update wit photos once I have the ring in hand.

Don't be nervous! Chances are your girlfriend is dying for you to propose to her. Just visualize her happy tears as she looks into your eyes and then at the ring with pure joy on her face. The diamond will be spectacular. You chose well.

The final product just arrived yesterday and it is wonderful.
I have attached some photos for those of you that were interested in seeing the final result. The first photo shows it as being very yellow/brown but that is likely just due to the lighting as it appears very white in real life.
