So, I was pretty darn happy with my 10-year anni upgrade. A 2.76 tranny in Julia setting from LAD. But as time went on, I realized I wanted a more antique look - chunkier facets, more intricate setting. Then some expenses came up. I decided a moissy would be fine, that I didn’t need a big diamond. I traded in my tranny and bought a moissy and replicated my original ering setting. I love that ring. However, Erica had posted this stone, and I loved it...the faceting was holy grail-ish. Long story short, I now own this ring. 2.83 GIA K VS1, in platinum. I finally understand exactly what they mean when they say “kaleidoscope”. My only concern was that maybe the crown wouldn’t be high enough (PS, much?? Lol), but this stone seriously looks good at every angle. The setting is a combination of some of my favourites over the years. I honestly couldn’t be happier. I included my drawing of how I wanted Erica to change the shank on her modified Anne setting, partly for comedic value, partly to show the magic that can happen when talent meets stick figure.
Ooh, that diamond! And that setting! A brilliant example of talent meeting stick figure if ever I saw one! The jeweller that made my solitaire setting was the same & interpreted my stick lines & head jumble amazingly!
Gorgeous!!! What a stone. Such stunning faceting indeed.
I love it in this setting. Enjoy your beautiful ring and I second the call for a lot more pics
yeah it does!!! What wonderful photos and your stone is seriously beautiful. That faceting is TDF and your setting is pure perfection. Love everything about your ring.
Congratulations and wear her in health and blingy happiness!
Absolutely stunning! The diamond is amazing and I adore the setting. It looks fabulous on your hand, you must be so thrilled to have this on your finger!
