Hey guys,

Posted before when I was still early in my search but am now educated enough (I hope) to have narrowed down my choices to the following options. Would love to hear your opinions. I have done the preliminary research and all of the picks below are ideal/excellent cuts according to https://www.diamondscreener.com/cut-estimator/. The WF picks benefit from the ASET images of course but the BN options really checks all the boxes dimensions wise and is obviously the biggest of the lot. My budget was max $4700 for the stone prioritizing cut followed by size as a close second. Please take a look and give your rankings! Want to pull the trigger in the next couple days :)

This community has been a fantastic source of information and I thank you all for your kind words and patience through this important decision!

All nice but I’d go for the Whiteflash one. Good combo of specs and great upgrade policy.

Thanks @Snowdrop13 !

If we put aside the upgrade policy for a moment, how do you think the BN stones stack up against the WF? Any of the WF you prefer from the list in terms of spec to price ratio?

@sledge What do you think? :)

Hi there - I’m no prosumer but you’re not drowning in replies, so here are my thoughts:

I would go with the one for which I had the most information, of course providing that the information indicated a good diamond.

Even the WF ACÁ does not have a perfect hearts image, but it’s close. There are many examples of this in the WF ACÁ collection. I’m sure this is true of all vendors’ top selections, not just WF, but that’s the one I looked at the most. If there are variations like this in the ACÁ collection, imagine how wide the variance could be within the general “excellent” symmetry population.

Withiout the ASET image and H&A, you really don’t know what’s going on there and will never know if that was the best for your dollar. Odds are yiu’ll still get something nice with those proportions, but don’t you want the best now that you’ve been touched by PS? lol

I’d go with the WF one.

If you can't get an ASET/IS for the BN options then I would cross them off the list. They look promising by number, but without light performance info you just never know for sure. The WF options are all nice, but I would pick one of the G options rather than the H, just because of the inclusions. I know it says eye clean, but there's just a lot of small stuff, which might bother you over time.

kmoro...Which ACA are you referring to? He has 4 listed in his link.

For me it would be a coin flip b/t the first 2 on the left...;))

I like the .817 G VS2, crisper hearts (look at the clefts on the .827, they are slightly larger).

To the OP, this will not make a difference to the naked eye.
