Hi,
I'm new in the market to make an engagement ring and reading all the good info here on diamonds so thanks in advance!

Given there doesn't seem to be a lot I could find around antique diamonds (although I may not be using the correct search terms), wondering if someone can help me on this. I saw through the price search tool I can find a round diamond with the same carat weight, better color and clarity, and a HCA cut rank of excellent for 10-12k.

Any feedback would be appreciated, I would like to get something that is going to be really unique so was thinking an interesting cut could be the way to go? She will want something that sparkles very well of course.

What are the guidelines/images/thoughts she has shared with you about her ring?

Hi! She definitely wants something unique and I'd like to get her a diamond that really has character. I've read cut is the most important and don't mind spending 10-15k on the stone but don't really want to go much more than that. Size isn't the most important aspect of the ring to her, so I'd focus more on something that looks unique and really shines nicely. She wouldn't like anything with visible inclusions to the naked eye either. I was thinking to find the right diamond then work on the setting. She doesn't have a preference of round vs square shaped. Her fingers aren't that big so I'm not really worried about the stone looking small on them. Color is important to her too, doesn't want anything with too much tint so I was thinking nothing below K color.
