Dear All:

I am having a hard time to choose the perfect diamond within the budget. Looking for at least G color, at least a 1.39 carat, triple X diamond with $11,000 budget. Would you please give opinion for each of them? which one is the best value? Do you know any diamond for recommendations?
Greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The HCA score needs to be close to 2.0 or less. I would rule out stones with a score of 3+.

So the only one of those worth considering is the last one, but it is coming up as a blank page.

I really would not buy a diamond unless there are pictures and preferably an idealscope image. Plus, with SI stones, you have to be sure it is eyeclean.

Both of these offer PS/wire discounts:

I cannot see the third option as well, the 1.43 has a very steep crown angle which could very well lead to light leakage and decreased performance (just an assumption I would want to see an ASET for IS for sure). It is also on the smaller side with respects to the face up appearance of size 7.2mm the average would be 7.3 give or take. The 1.4 has a slightly steep pavilion angel and faces up a bit small.

Oh, that diamond is too deep. It has the diameter and face-up appearance of a 1.5 ct stone. I would advise you to consider vendors such as Good Old Gold and WhiteFlash who provide you with magnified photos of the stones as well as idealscope and other images showing light performance. Their main lines that they carry in-house are going to usually be pre-selected to have ideal cut standards. And they can also physically look at a stone and say if it is eyeclean. That is sometimes designated on the webpage of the stone as well.

But if you have to stay with BN, here are some parameters for you:

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0

I thought it was rule out stones with a score above 2.0? Or did something change?
